Meet Rebecca
Rebecca’s partner secured a new contract with the Canadian military requiring them to move to a new town. Upon arriving, Rebecca struggled to find consistent, meaningful employment, trying her hand at a range of different careers including early childhood education.
Understanding this is a common predicament for military spouses, Rebecca’s sister-in-law recommended she try one of WithYouWithMe’s free training courses to develop a new set of skills in the technology sector.
Rebecca's journey
Rebecca completed the Service Delivery pathway as well as Linux and SQL courses, preparing her for an in-demand role as a Technical Analyst for the Canadian Federal Government.
“It took a couple of months to complete all the courses, with some being easier than others. I found SQL a bit more challenging as it was a completely new concept for me, but I enjoyed learning about it.”
Securing stimulating and sustainable employment
Since starting her role in the Federal Government, Rebecca has been given several opportunities to take on new assignments and projects, allowing her to constantly expand her technology skillset while on the job.
