Our first US Veterans Career Expo is on April 12, 2019, in Washington DC. This is open to all branches of the US Armed Forces and we welcome active duty, reservists or retired service members and spouses.

This is not your average Career Expo. Our Career Expos have been highly successful and popular in Australia, and we are bringing them to you!

This event is an excellent opportunity for meeting employers, conduct face to face engagements with hiring managers from leading US companies in the cyber industry, and learn about potential career pathways. And it’s completely FREE to attend, and the bar opens at noon! We can’t wait to see you.

Lieutenant General Vincent Stewart

Vincent Stewart is currently serving as the Deputy Commander at the United States Cyber Command. He was the 20th Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

He holds a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College and in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University.

Jon Check

Jon Check is senior director of cyber protection solutions at Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services. He has two decades of experience providing outcomes based managed services. Jon leads the team that delivers proactive cybersecurity solutions protecting organizations from the ever-evolving cybersecurity threat.

Jon is committed to delivering next–generation technology and enterprise solutions for customers across Raytheon’s cyber portfolio.

Dr. Charles Johnson-Bey

Dr. Charles Johnson-Bey has over 21 years of engineering Research & Development (R&D) experience that has spanned technologies in the commercial & defense industries, small business, and academia. He has worked for Motorola Corporate Research Labs, Corning Incorporated Science & Technology Division, and he was an Electrical Engineering professor at Morgan State University.

Dr. Johnson-Bey graduated from the prestigious Baltimore Polytechnic Institute engineering high school in Baltimore. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and he received a Masters and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.

Kamran Ahmad

Program Manager / Cybersecurity Engineer

Graduated in 2001 from University of Maryland Baltimore County with a BS in Information Security and went on to work for Booz Allen as a DoD contractor supporting the NSA and shortly after US Dept of Navy on a number of Information Assurance and Crypto programs supporting the warfighter.

Started at his current company, Viasat, in 2013 supporting various programs both foreign and domestic providing Cybersecurity engineering for providing global broadband solutions. In the last two years, Kam has become a part of the Cybersecurity Operations Center at Viasat providing project engineering and program management to new programs kicking off in 2019.

Earned Master degree in Network Security in 2008

Scott Tousley

Scott Tousley is a Splunk Senior Executive for Cyber Programs, focusing on emerging Splunk capabilities around Critical Infrastructure, Smart Cities, the Internet of Things, and Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence applications and capabilities.

Accomplished leader of homeland and national security challenges, solutions and teams, in multiple areas of homeland security and information technology. Experience leading organizations and teams of up to 175 staff and $80 million budget.

Scott is a retired Army Corps of Engineers officer, both a graduate and faculty from West Point, and holds an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M and a Master of Arts, Strategy from the US Army’s War College.

John Harrison

John has operated from the trenches in Afghanistan, Iraq, and now in cybersecurity operations centers preventing, detecting, and mitigating all forms of malicious activity. He is passionate about applying battlefield testing and proven artificial intelligence methods and other advanced analytical capabilities to the cybersecurity detection and response problems many companies and agencies face today.

Over the past 15 years, he has helped the Federal Government build and deploy analytical and response capabilities for problem-sets such as counterterrorism financing, financial fraud and money laundering, computer forensic analysis, and cybersecurity operations.
