Management Consultants use their business skills to provide objective advice and expertise to assist an organisation to develop specialist skills that may need development or require improvement.
In this role, you are primarily concerned with the strategy, structure, management and operations of a company. A Management Consultant’s role is to identify options for the organisation and suggest recommendations for change and advise on additional requirements to implement solutions.
For Officers and SNCOs, Management Consultant is a very viable pathway on transition from defence. To be competitive for a management consulting job at large firms will require an ability to build and maintain a strong network. Our advice is to work in industry in an operations or management role before becoming a Management Consultant, or consider targeting a smaller firm for better training and career development.

- Experience across multiple disciplines including business transformation, process improvement, change management, cost optimisation and technology enablement.
