Administrative Assistant to Service Desk Analyst

Meet Vicki

Vicki was on maternity leave with her first child and due to her husband’s demanding military work schedule, she quickly realised that returning to a stressful office job where she was overworked, underpaid and was required to commute daily was not something she wanted to continue, due to her new family life.

Vicky's journey

Vicki began working with a military career counsellor to help figure out what job path would be the best. The counsellor mentioned a previous client of hers was currently working for WYWM and although it was a tech related field, it might be something worthwhile looking into. That day, Vicki logged into WYWM to create her profile and began the testing. She didn’t know anyone personally that had ever heard of this company so felt it might be too good to be true, but she didn’t have anything to lose!

She started her first WYWM online course in February, interviewed for her current role in August and officially started with WYWM in October.

After signing up to WithYouWithMe's Potential platform and completing the psychometric and aptitude assessments, Vicki was identified as a strong candidate for a career as a Service Desk Analyst.

From Medical Clinic Administrative Assistant to tech

My first contact with the company was Angela Amati. She was able to guide me with getting started on courses that might spark my interest.

After completing one of the pipelines she recommended, I was able to work with Joe Powers who also helped to encourage me to do some other courses that could help with upcoming jobs and gaining more knowledge in different areas.

During the entire process with them I felt respected and very supported if I had any questions during their check-ins.

It only took one phone call and Angela realised Vicki had the determination to succeed in her new journey into a technology role.

A new career path!

While completing the Service Delivery pathway, Vicki was on maternity leave with her little boy. Prior to having him, she was working at a busy medical clinic as an administrative assistant. Although she loved the people that she worked with, the job became extremely demanding and she had very little support with high expectations daily.

Vicki is now a Service Desk Analyst working on projects for the Government. Vicki feels as though WithYouWithMe has given a new start to her life. She wakes up in the morning and is excited to start her work-day.
