Tom Moore profile

Tom Moore

Founder, WithYouWithMe
Tom Moore is an Australian military veteran and Co-founder of WithYouWithMe. Tom joined the Australian Defence Force in 2008 as an enlisted rifleman, then subsequently completed Officer training at Royal Military College Duntroon in 2012.

In 2013 he led a 60-man combat team as an Infantry Officer in Afghanistan. He was medically discharged in 2015. When Tom started seeking civilian employment, he found it difficult to secure even entry-level roles due to his perceived ‘lack of experience’. Tom discovered he wasn’t alone – and that veteran underemployment was a global issue.

In 2015, he co-founded WithYouWithMe to solve veteran underemployment, by lowering the barriers to entry into tech careers. WithYouWithMe created a technology that leverages innovative psychometric testing to identify people with the aptitude to thrive in tech-based roles who may otherwise be overlooked. It then builds their skills to be employment-ready through accredited digital skills training. The ‘social impact’ company he founded has rapidly expanded to support other under-represented groups, including neurodivergent individuals, indigenous communities and refugees.

About the GED Tech Apprenticeship™ Program

GED Testing Service have teamed up with social impact company WithYouWithMe to offer GED students free access to their world-leading psychometric and aptitude testing and accredited digital skills training across 11 technology-based career pathways.

For those who have completed their GED, we’re also offering graduates the opportunity to secure apprenticeship roles with some of the country’s leading employers, following self-paced, digital training.

Why should you upskill for a career in tech?

Rapid digitization means the demand for tech roles is far greater than the candidates available in the market.

Using innovative skills mapping and aptitude assessments, we identify individuals with the propensity to excel in tech roles and train them to be proficient and job ready.

Entry-level roles on offer range from (USD) $45K - $56K

35% of new jobs require high-level digital skills.

55% of the jobs are middle-skill positions, which require training beyond high school but not a college degree.

70% of organizations are currently working on digital transformation - and they don't have the talent they need to fill these roles.

13% of open jobs don’t require any digital skills, which means 87% of jobs do require digital skills.

There are 365K open technology roles currently in the US
