Olly is also Chair of Movement to Work and also a member of the UK Digital Economy Council.

General (retired) Sir James Everard KCB CBE

Former Deputy Allied Supreme Commander NATO
James Everard commissioned in 1983, joining the 17th/21st Lancers in Germany on the Chieftain Main Battle Tank. Having commanded at every level - including the Queen’s Royal Lancers, 20th Armoured Brigade, 3rd(UK) Division and the UK Field Army - he ended his career in September 2020 as the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (and Operation Commander European Union Operation ALTHEA, Bosnia-in-Herzegovina). 

James Everard is President of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and took up the appointment of Lead Senior Mentor for NATO Allied Command Operations in January 2021. He is committed to finding a sustainable solution to the digital skills challenge in Western militaries and serves as a global advisor for WithYouWithMe.

Ian Langford profile image

Dr Ian Langford

PhD, DSc and Bars
Ian Langford served in the Australian Army for 31 years, retiring as a Brigadier in 2023. Ian held a range of appointments in the Army and Special Forces throughout his career, including commanding the 2nd Commando Regiment, as well as multiple Special Operations Task Groups in Afghanistan, Iraq, and on domestic counter-terrorism duties. Ian has also led the at the strategic level, responsible for the Army’s future strategic investments, future concepts and capabilities, major capital acquisitions and critical sustainment systems as the Head of Land Capability.

Ian’s operational service includes deployments to Timor Leste, Afghanistan, Bougainville, Solomon Islands, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and the South-West Pacific. For his service, Ian has been awarded several Australian commendations, and the Distinguished Service Cross on three occasions. In 2019, he was appointed as an Honourary Aide de Camp to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia. Currently, he is an Executive Director at Security & Defence PLuS, a Professor at UNSW and a Global Advisor to WithYouWithMe.

Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in management, a Master of Arts, a Master of Defence Studies, a Master of Strategic Studies and a Doctor of Philosophy from Deakin University.

Former Deputy Commander of the US-led Coalition that defeated Isis
Major General Jones draws on 30 years of leadership experience in the British Army. Promoted as the youngest Major General at the time, his focus was on overseas operations, commanding in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and the Caribbean. He enjoys a proven track record working with multinational and inter-agency teams to deliver in the most challenging and complex international crisis situations. His roles included serving as deputy commander of the US-led coalition that defeated ISIS.

He recently left the military and is now working as a global advisor for WithYouWithMe. He is also Resident Expert to the Oxford Foundry entrepreneur accelerator programme.

Jim joined the Royal Navy as a weapon engineer officer in 1989. His career has spanned operational roles across the globe; equipment capability procurement; defence strategy and policy; before moving into transformation and strategic HR in the last portion of his career.

Most recently (until March 2022) he was Assistant Chief of Defence Staff Personnel Capability and Defence Services Secretary, where responsibilities included: strategic HR policy for 150K service women and men across the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force; HR Transformation; skills; senior military talent management; delivery of major military events (eg D-Day 75); honours, awards and medals; and managing the relationship between The Royal Household and Defence. He retired from active service in summer 2022 and amongst a range of transformation and leadership advisory roles is an advisor to WithYouWithMe.

Jeffrey C. ("J.C.") Dodson profile image

Jeffrey C. ("J.C.") Dodson

Jeffrey is a global risk, resilience and response leader and the the principal at JCarl Group. Prior to his role with the JCarl Group, he served over 20 years as an executive with BAE Systems. His key roles included appointment as Chief Security Officer (CSO), responsible for enterprise-wide security strategy, operations and assurance across a broad range of international markets. Prior to his CSO role, Dodson was BAE’s Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for over a decade where he led an award winning multinational cyber security team for the $20B company. He also held a variety of additional executive positions with BAE including advanced technology program management, strategy, and business development.

Jeffrey was previously a career military officer, reaching the rank of colonel with the U.S. Air Force. His duties included flying operations, weapons system acquisition management, special technical activities and command assignments.

Jeffrey is a board member and advisor to global technology companies and non-profit organisations.

Jonathan Clow

Former NATO Project Officer and Director Air Staff Coordination at the Royal Canadian Air Force
Jon 'Troll' Clow is a former Royal Canadian Air Force pilot with 37+ years of military fast-jet experience. He is an A1 Category Qualified Flying Instructor and has commanded at the squadron level. In addition to being a former Program Director of a $6 billion public-private partnership portfolio, he also led the reimagining of the RCAF Pilot Training Continuum which increased training throughput by 45% at minimal capital cost.

Jon also spent 5 years at NATO Allied Command Transformation, marked by his spearheading of a monumental organisational shift and the unique integration of agile DevSecOps software tools into NATO's Air Command and Control infrastructure and operations. Jon is a career out-of-the-box thinker and conceptualiser whose expertise lies in steering organisational leadership and transformation. 

Jon holds a Masters in Defense Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada. Now retired from the military, Jon is a global Advisor to WithYouWithMe.
