“A positive attitude is vital when transitioning from the Defence Force”
Nick Kardonsky always had a desire to serve in the Defence Force. He started his transition process in January 2008 and even though he didn’t encounter some of the challenges faced by many others, he hopes that he can help guide others through their transition and have a similarly smooth process.
Nick served in the US Army Infantry for nearly six years as an Infantry Officer. Once he decided to make a start on his transition from the Defence Force to industry, he reached out to a recruiter to help make the switch as simple as possible. Now, he is a Regional Sales Manager for global leading medical technology company Stryker. Nick is also a WithYouWithMe mentor and is grateful that he can help guide veterans as they transition from the Defence Force.
He wants those who are looking to start their transition process to know that “your attitude will drive this process and, to some degree, will determine if you have a positive or a negative experience. Your attitude is your responsibility”.
